Our Team

Carlos Pinzon-Hamilton is the Senior Immigration Case Coordinator for the San Francisco Immigrant Legal Defense Collaborative (SFILDC), and he is based at the Justice & Diversity Center of The Bar Association of San Francisco (JDC). Carlos supports the work of the SFILDC by developing informational materials, brief banks, websites, and by organizing trainings and events aimed at the professional development of members of the collaborative. Carlos gathers and analyzes data from immigration cases represented by the collaborative to produce reports used by the SFILDC on advocacy, policy change, and fundraising efforts. In addition to his direct work for the collaborative, Carlos supports the daily activities of the emergency response system of the San Francisco Rapid Response Network which provides emergency legal services to San Francisco residents detained by immigration enforcement authorities. Carlos received a LLM in US Legal Studies in 2013 and a Masters in Law in Mexico in 2015. He is a licensed attorney in Mexico and before joining JDC, Carlos was the coordinator of the Immigrant Children Project at a nonprofit organization in Palo Alto.
